Agri-Solar plants can be used to train emerging farmers to first learn how to plant and harvest, as well as in the creation and maintenance of profitable farm businesses.
In addition to agricultural trainings, technical trainings in electricity and photovoltaic technology are also possible. SUNfarming has accumulated extensive experience in technical training in different countries through its Food & Energy centers.
In South Africa, we have been conducting certified trainings (PV Green Card) continuously since 2013, officially certifying thousands of students in the installation of photovoltaic systems.
In our commitment to knowledge transfer and collaboration with local communities and institutions, SUNfarming intends to continue these training activities also in Brazil, through the Instituto SUNfarming.
The Instituto SUNfarming is a scientific, cultural, and professional training organization focused on developing social and ecological aspects, training entrepreneurs and technicians in different areas related to agriculture, electricity, and photovoltaic technologies.
A building owned by SUNfarming in Caucaia will be refurbished to house these educational activities, seeking to carry out joint activities and training with local universities and institutions. It is expected that this institute will become a pole of reference in Brazil for knowledge and research in the field of agrivoltaics.
